Galangal Root
Galangal Root
Also known as “Little John”, Galangal is one of the three roots John the Conqueror christened in his namesake. However unlike High John, this root finds its uses slightly more constrained.
This root is usually the basis for most Court Case formulas, and as such, it’s used in situations where a favorable court outcome is required. In older times this root would be chewed and discretely “spat” onto the courtroom floor to do this, but in modern times doing something like this could get you in more trouble than you probably started with!
As an alternative, placing some pre-chewed root into a tissue that you pull out of your pocket (allowing the root to fall on the courtroom floor) would be an easier alternative, but you don’t have to chew this root to work with it. Simply carrying it with supporting botanicals (such as High John the Conqueror and Bay leaves) can work just as well.
