Venus in Pisces: February 25-March 21 | Thawed Hearts

Venus tours her exaltation sign of Pisces from February 25th until March 21st, bringing with her an interesting series of aspects. The Goddess of Love spends roughly the next month basking in the warm ocean waters of the cosmos. Planets in their exaltation are generally considered to be at their best, having more ‘oomph’ to place behind their usual duties.

As I said in this month’s astrology forecast, Venus in Pisces blesses relationships and love in all of its forms. She’s able to harmonize and embrace the concept of love in a more transcendental way. It’s ideal transit for activities that involve ‘touching the intangible’ as well: creating art and music can become multi-sensory and spiritually transformative.

But what if this particular swim with the Fishes felt less vacation-esque and more akin to a rehabilitative retreat? There’s no slew of aspects for her to make during this venture, but the ones she does make seem somewhat cathartic. From her point of ingress, the Moon, finishing up her business in Leo, comes into orb to form an opposition. If we weren’t already emotionally raw from the Leo Moon vs Aquarius stellium, this feels like the extra friction no one ordered.

Grounding and diffusing seems essential during the next couple days, as does staying hydrated. Simple acts like these are not only beneficial for the energetic body, but are serve as perfect expressions of self-love.

Venus forms a sextile with Uranus on the 3rd providing a nice break from the norm by offering unexpected, and generally pleasant encounters. Both Uranus and Aquarius has ties to the future, “new tech” and the technological aspects and off-shoots of the Internet (aka apps). Forming connections seemingly “out of the blue” feels very possible in the days leading up to and after.

The moon in Sagittarius creeps up to square Venus a couple days later, possible triggering emotional upsets and outbursts. Mutable signs (Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini) may want to shore themselves emotionally if they sense this pressure building. There’s also the potential to over-do it or let your emotions drive you to places you’d rather not go; take caution if you’re accident prone.

The waters seem less murky as the 12th rolls around. Venus is getting ready to cozy up in a conjunction with the Sun and Neptune. In a highly psychic and spiritual series of days, this feels not unlike that breakthrough moment when, after months of purging and processing, you start to feel like you again.

Neptune is significant here not just due to being Pisces’ modern ruler, but because it emphasizes Venus’ exaltation. The synergy between these two really shines on the 14th when the conjunction goes exact, inspiring the heart and imagination towards deep, unconditional love. It's that kind of love that removes a “multitude of sins” making it ideal for rituals of deep reconciliation, understanding and healing.

Before packing her bag for Aries-ville, Venus moves into a sextile with Pluto who’s hanging on to that last sliver of Capricorn territory. There’s a sense of completion with this aspect which, with Spring just around the corner, feels more than appropriate.

Pluto/Venus sextiles can indicate a rise in opportunities for empowerment and transformation. Bringing self-image issues to a head creates pathways for genuine love and acceptance of self. Finding the bravery to seek new friendships forms chances to have lasting ones. You get the picture :)

In whatever way Venus in Pisces presents herself this transit, I hope her insights inspire the heart, thawing any apathy left by winter. After these past two years, we could definitely use the warmth.
